It has become apparent in the game industry, as well as many other industries, that a simple and accurate system needed to be developed .

Can the PROFITA-POD™ be used on something that does not already have meters?
Yes, the DATA-POD can be used on anything that has switch closures and has 12vdc.

Can we move the POD to new games if we sell, or move the old games?
Yes, the POD can be moved to the new games and you can give them new serial numbers or new 3 character location codes with the handheld computer.

Is the infrared data secure so nobody else can read it with another handheld computer?
Yes, you must have our software on the handheld computer to read the data.

What is the range of the infrared transmission?
You need to hold the handheld computer within 18 inches of the front of the POD while receiving the data.

Can I put a POD into something that already has another kind of counting system?
Eg.: I want to leave the existing meters in the game and add a POD on as well.
Yes, the POD will work with any other system installed.

Is this a proven technology?
Yes, this system has been in use successfully for other applications for 2 years.

Is the handheld computer compatible with infrared printers? Eg.: Can I point the handheld computer at the printer and have it print out a report?
Yes, it can print out a report of the meter readings with a preview as well.

How is the data saved in a file?
It makes a file with the date, time, 3 digit label, serial number and the numbers for the 3 meters.

Can I use the PROFIT-POD™ with kiddie rides, cranes, soda machines, ticket eaters, prize dispensing machines, ticket games, counters with buttons like midway entrances, table-top video games and pinball machines?
Yes, it will work with anything that has 12 volts and switch closures or meter outputs that are 5-12 volts.

If thePODs lose power do they retain the numbers?
Yes, everything is kept in non-volatile RAM, so when you put power back on the
counts are the same as before you turned the power off.

Can I mount a POD inside the clear glass of a game?
Yes you can, but we recommend that you install it inside the game so when you collect the coins you can check the count against the data for theft deterrence.

Can I add more PODs anytime I want?
Yes, you can add PODs anytime to any location, so as your business grows you simply purchase more PODs and use the same handheld computer.

I have a very big arcade and would like to finance the DATA-POD system for the whole arcade, is financing available?
We are currently talking to a finance company to make that option available to you.

Why did you choose an Excel spreadsheet format for the data?
Because it is a very common format ".CSV" and once you have it in Excel it is easily customizable for your particular industry by anybody with knowledge of Excel. The files can be imported by any program that supports comma-separated-text data.

When we purchase the units, do they come already programmed with serial numbers and location ID's, and does it come with the handheld computer already installed with the software?
Yes, you tell us the 3 digit location ID's and the 6 digit serial numbers that you would like installed into them. The handheld computer comes with 2 applications installed: one for collecting the data and another one for resetting the 3 digit ID and 6 digit serial numbers should the need arise.
